1)The motion detection range is around 15 feet (6 meter) and with angle around 120 degree. In real application the detection may alter to the ambient temperature, normally the bulb could be triggered in 5-8 meters distance. As the radar detection is based on Doppler effect to detect the motion, the microwave signal could penetrate the wooden wall, sometimes the a people passing by outside the wall may set off the bulb installed inside the wall. The bulb will also turn off in 2 minutes after no movement.
2)The radar motion detection compared with PIR has advantages, such as not sensitive with ambient temperature, and could be concealed inside the bulb for better weather proof. But some motion not people movement may trigger the bulb to light on, in rainy day dropping rain, leaves movement by wind, a rolling fan may set off the bulb. The bulb will also turn off in 2 minutes after no movement. In real application, please check if there are moving objects close to the bulb.
3)The bulb itself is wet rated, but used in outdoor environment, please make sure the fixture is also kind of weather proof. If
the socket has water invaded, it may cause electrical risk, and the loss or risk is not the responsibility of bulb maker.
