What's Guar beta cyclodextrin

The inclusion process of β -cyclodextrin is a kind of preparation technology which uses starch to hydrolyze under the action of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase, and is a kind of cyclic oligosaccharide compound connected by α-1,4 glycoside bond, that is, β -cyclodextrin (β-CD) wraps all or part of drug molecules in it to form a kind of non-bond compound. The inclusion of drugs with β -cyclodextrin can increase the solubility and dissolution rate of drugs, improve the stability of drugs, reduce the irritation of drugs, improve the bad smell and broaden the dosage forms of drugs, which has become a research topic of concern to pharmaceutical workers in recent years.

Use of β -cyclodextrin

1. In the process of food processing and preservation, β-CD can prevent all kinds of spices, oils, spices and other volatile substances from volatilizing, and keep the flavor of food unchanged for a long time. β-CD can keep the stability of pigments, amino acids and vitamins which are easy to be oxidized, decomposed by light and deteriorated by heat. 2.β-CD can remove the fishy smell of fish and meat, the unpleasant taste of food supplemented with vitamin B and other nutrients, increase the palatability of food, and improve the taste of sweeteners such as saccharin and cyclamate. 3.β-CD can form a long-term stable emulsion for drinks with high oil content, such as ice cream, coffee drinks and other emulsified foods.
