Epoxy functional silane oligomer used as adhesion promoter
ChangFu® SP-E20 is an epoxy functional silane oligomer that can be widely used as an adhesion promoter in polysulfides, polyurethanes, epoxy resins and acrylic caulks, sealants, adhesives, and coatings. Its epoxy functional group and silicon hydroxyl functional group contribute to adhesion promotion and crosslinking of waterborne or solvent-based coatings, as well as the dispersion of metallic pigments in aqueous systems. Compared with conventional epoxy silanes, it can significantly reduce VOCs emissions when hydrolyzed.
Contains epoxy group which can react with various organic functional groups.
More hydrolytically stable than ordinary monomer epoxy silanes.
Has high temperature resistance, weather resistance, and low VOCs.
Especially suitable for aqueous systems.
Able to provide better durability in solvent-based systems.
Better surface modifier and adhesion promoter than conventional epoxy silanes.
