Coace® R2120 is a silane-functionalized ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with high silane content, high transparency, and low crystal point. Used in EVA photovoltaic films to improve the adhesion after aging, especially the pass rate of PCT aging test, reduce monomer residue, and improve packaging yield rate.
Silane-functionalized EVA film additives are an important step forward in the development of materials for solar applications. Their capacity to improve adhesion, thermal stability, mechanical characteristics, and weather resistance make them important for boosting the performance and durability of EVA encapsulants. Manufacturers can develop higher-quality, more dependable, more efficient solar modules by taking advantage of these compounds' superior features. As the demand for renewable and efficient solar energy solutions grows, silane-functionalized EVA film additives will play an important role in developing photovoltaic technology and addressing global energy demands.

Advantages
1. Improved adherence: The silane groups considerably improve the EVA film's adherence to diverse surfaces, including glass and solar cells, resulting in a strong bond that can tolerate environmental pressures.
2. Enhanced Thermal Stability: The silane-functionalized EVA copolymer has excellent thermal stability, keeping its characteristics at high temperatures and ensuring long-term performance in a variety of environmental settings.
3. Increased Crosslinking Density: Silane groups boost crosslinking within the EVA matrix, which improves mechanical strength, elasticity, and resistance to degradation.
4. Excellent Optical Properties: The improved EVA retains high levels of light transmission while minimizing haze, resulting in optimal efficiency in light capture and energy conversion.
5. Superior Weather Resistance: The silane-functionalized EVA copolymer is more resistant to UV radiation, moisture, and other environmental variables, extending the life of photovoltaic modules.
