Storage cages are mainly made up of mesh panels and base chassis. The mesh panels are cut into various lengths and welded by a welding machine to form semi-finished mesh panels. Most of the mesh panels are galvanized, while some are coated with a spray for rust prevention. Galvanized coating is better for rust prevention than spray coating. The wire diameter is an important parameter for load-bearing. The base chassis is made from raw material sheets processed by a bending machine, with common thicknesses of 1.8 and 2.5, then cut and manually welded into channel steel. The arrangement of the base chassis is also an important load-bearing parameter. There are two types of welding for the base mesh and base channel steel, where each contact point between the channel steel and mesh panel is welded using a machine welder for stronger load-bearing capacity. Finally, the mesh panels and base chassis are assembled using springs and snap buttons.
Material composition
The main raw material used in the production of storage cages is high-tensile steel wire, typically with diameters of 4.8mm, 5mm, 6mm, and 6.4mm. The mesh panels are welded with mesh spacings generally set at 50x100, 100x100, 50x50, 50x25, and 25x25. The base of the storage cage is made of U-shaped channel steel, which is produced by cold-rolled strip steel rolling mill. The four feet at the bottom are formed by stamping parts, usually consisting of two stamped pieces, which are then welded together. The height of the feet of the storage cage is generally 100mm, but can also be 120mm.
