Reliable safety solution for LPG/NG supply system
It is the secondary hazard of fire created by ruptured gas pipes that the ITO Earthquake-Actuated Shut-Off System has been designed to prevent. Using no electricity, the highly accurate shut-off valve (EQ series) & earthquake-actuated sensor (C2 series) shuts down the gas system immediately in the event of ground shaking, measured over a predetermined acceleration.
The sensor consists of two different elements (steel ball element & heavy bob element) in order to prevent the system from shutting down the gas supply in response to typical daily life vibration. That is, the device works to shut down the gas only when both of the two elements fall down to activate the sensor, which will happen in response to seismic vibration, but will not be the case for daily life vibration.
*We do not guarantee this product can not be triggered all daily life vibrations.
These unique products were introduced in the Doha Global Technology Conference (GTC) where we won the 2012 World LPGas Association Innovation Award.
