Innova salt spray test chamber machine
Innova salt spray test chamber machine
is an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to the coated samples in order to predict its suitability in use as a protective finish. The appearance of corrosion products (oxides) is evaluated after a period of time. Test duration depends on the corrosion resistance of the coating; the more corrosion resistant the coating is, the longer the period in testing without showing signs of corrosion. Different coatings have different behaviour in salt spray test and consequently, test duration will differ from one type of coating to another.

1. Durable hard 8mm PVC construction, anti-corrosion and easy to clean.
2. Reservoirs with mixing system on stand.
3. Separate heating system apart from salt testing chamber to ensure accurate result and protect circuit.
4. Exposure zone lined with corrosion-resistant PVC sheets.
5. Clear cover allows viewing of test conditions.
6. Peaked cover prevents dripping of condensation onto samples.
7. Water seal and water level protection system.
8. Heated humidifying tower with air relief valve, adjustable tower tip to orient salt fog.
9. Automatic DI water fills to humidifying tower.

11. Integral over-protection on heaters.

Salt Spray chambers are commonly used to evaluate the corrosive properties of:
1 Phosphated surfaces (with subsequent paint/primer/lacquer/rust preventive).
2 Zinc and Zinc-alloy plating (see also electroplating).
3 Electroplated chromium, nickel, copper and tin.
4 Coatings not applied electrolytically (such as zinc flake coatings).
5 Organic Coatings.
6 Paint Coating.
