Product Paramenters

FEATURES:

LP-240 is one kind of polysiloxane emulsion with special molecular structure, which make LP-240 has better reactivity with basic material to improve the water repellent durability;
-neutral PH, no reactive hydrogen, no hydrogen will be produced;
-no organic solvent, dilute with water, safe, environmental friendly and easy to use
-suitable for the production environment which excessive ammonia are prohibited. All reagents are with the current use (2)

APPLICATIONS:
mainly used in rock or mineral wool, glass wool, expanded perlite and maintain thermal insulation properties.

Usage
Depends on different requirements on cost, operation way and hydrophobic property, LP-240 can be added in raw materials during production or coat on product’s surface directly.
We usually recommend add our LP-240 in raw materials during production, in order to ensure the overall hydrophobicity of the product
(1)Internal adding way(adding in raw materials during production):
The compatibility test must be done before using the product in large volumes.
premix our LP-240 with phenolic resin and water according to the recommendation amount.
(2)Brush & Spray& Coating on surface
Dilute our LP-240 with water, then brush or spray on surface directly.
Dosage
Based on the glass or stone fiber mass the addition ratio varies between 0,05 and 0,2 weight % for stone wool and 0,1 and 0,3 weight % (always based on the weight of the dried final product) for glass wool.
To impart water repellency to expanded perlite or similar porous materials, LP-240 can be spraying as well. 0,2 to 0,4 % by
weight are recommended as a dosage rate for perlite, 0,1 to 0,2 % for expanded clay aggregates. It can be sprayed onto the warm expanded material in order to avoid an additional drying process. Prolonged heating of the siliconized material must however be avoided.
