L-ascorbyl palmitate is a white powder with a slight citrus smell, insoluble in water and vegetable oil, easily soluble in ethanol (1 g/45 ml), MP107~117℃, with optical rotation [α]250+21~24°, Stable in dry air.
Ascorbyl palmitate has the ability to penetrate skin tissue and stimulate collagen production. This makes ascorbyl palmitate a great ingredient for anti-aging treatments, smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, evening skin tone and protecting skin from free-radical damage.
L-Ascorbic Acid Fatty Acid Esters are among the strongest antioxidants. It can prevent the formation of lipid peroxides and delay the oxidative deterioration of animal oils, vegetable oils, fish, margarine, milk and carotenoids, and the effect is better than BHA and BHT. If used in combination with other antioxidants such as vE, the antioxidant effect is more significant.
