Vietnamese jasmine rice is a high quality fragrant rice with large, long and white grains.
Fragrant rice is grown in the Mekong Delta. When cooked, the rice is sticky and lightly fragrant. The rice remains flexible when cooled. That's why fragrant rice is popular in countries such as the US, Europe, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, and Ghana.
Jasmine rice is grown mainly in southern Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. This type of rice is moist so it is soft when cooked and has a slightly sweet taste. Fragrant rice grains are sticky and slightly sticky when cooked, although it is less sticky than sticky rice (Oryza sativa var. Glutinosa) because it has less amylopectin. Fragrant rice is about three times more sticky than American long-grain rice.
