This is really well made, heavy and sturdy with no rough edges. The hooks are a bit smaller than I thought. Since measurements weren't provided here they are: the hooks stick out from the wall 1 3/8" and the little nubby things poke up about 3/8" and the hooks are about 2 1/4" apart. I bought it to see if it would work for hanging up dog leashes & collars, and decided to get another one for that with more hooks. This one is going in another spot for smaller things like keys. If you want to use it for coats & towels I think the hooks might feel too close together unless you'll be spanning more than one hook.

I ordered this 8 inch stainless steel coat rack to use as a towel hook. It is very attractive, sturdy, and well made. However, at only 8 inches long it is much to small to use for towels. I felt the photo posted by the company was very misleading, (the 3 hook rack was holding a pruse and a coat with plenty of room) and left a not so happy review. I was immediately contacted by the jointup company and they said they would update to photo to a more realistic representation of the product. Also, jointup offered to send me a larger rack that would accommodate towels. The 18 inch rack has arrived and will be a great addition to my son's bathroom as a towel rack.
