The diamond layer and substrate are sintered under ultra-high pressure and ultra-high temperature. In short, we say it’s HTHP
Press. The diamond is grown on the carbide substrate, not coated. They are firmly combined.

Why usually make the PDC cutting teeth with a polished diamond layer?
Polished Cutters improve efficient cutting in soft formation with low friction surface and provide proper cooling.

PDC cutting insert's advantage: 10 times longer use life than tungsten carbide!

1. High hardness, high abrasion resistance and high impact resistance.
2. 5-10 times longer useful life compared with normal tungsten carbide, obviously reduce the frequency of replace the drill bit.
3. Effective and stable drilling speed to protect the equipment and reduce the drilling cost(30%-40% overall cost)
PDC inserts are no worn basically after drilling 90 meters
Carbide inserts are worn about 1/3 after drilling 16 meters.
