High density polyethylene geocell product Introduction;

Geocell is a kind of 3D network structure through ultrasonic welding with long plastic material, and it is three-dimensional network after being expanded. Sometimes it needs to be perforated according to customer’s need. The height, welding distance, plate thickness of geocell have significant effects to the project performance of geocell; In projects, different kinds of geocell can form bedding with different cohesion, reinforcement strength and thickness. These bedding can be placed in required position according to the requirements of the project so as to intensify the roadbed of the road and railway, slope, protection, build retaining wall, etc. Width of the long strip is the height of the geocell, and the distance between two welding lines in the same side of the plate when the geocell is not expanded is welding distance.
High density polyethylene geocell is a lightweight and flexible three-dimensional, expandable panels made from high Density Polyethylene (HDPE) strips which are ultrasonically bonded together to form an extremely strong configuration.

Geocell is a confinement system that performs better than conventional crushed stone sections, and it provides an
expedient construction technique for access roads over soft ground without being adversely affected by wet weather conditions. It can also be used to strengthen paved areas.

Retaining Wall
GeoCell can be used for both cut and fill applications on retaining walls. The flexible HDPE panels are custom made to the front to back dimensions required by the project engineer. GeoCell can be easily installed around curves, pipes or other structures. The panels are constructed with the front facing strip colored green or tan to blend in with the surroundings. GeoCell panels can be stacked to create a 90 degree wall, or they can be stair stepped at every layer to create exposed cell for vegetation. GeoCell is the perfect green wall solution.

Application Method:
When infilled by compacted soil, a Cellular Confinement System (CCS) is to create a new entity with enhanced mechanical and geotechnical properties. When pressure applied to the soil contained in a CCS, it results in a lateral stress on the perimeter of the cell wall. The three-dimensional confinement area reduces the lateral movement of soil particles. the vertical load applied to contained infill lead to high stress and resistance to latera interface between cell and soil.
Constrained adjacent cell provides additional resistance filled by passive resistive load cell, while the horizontal expansion by restricting the ring of high strength. Compaction is maintained to result in long-term reinforcement.
On the jobsite, all sections of geocell are fastened together and placed directly on the surface of the subsoil or placed on the geotextile covered on the roadbed surface. the sections are stretched and expanded with stretcher. geocell extended to cover several tens of meters may consist of hundreds of individual cells, depending on the size of the section and the whole area. They are then filled with a variety of filler materials such as soil, sand, aggregate or recycled materials, and then compacted using vibration compaction.
Overall CCS can create a hard mattress to distribute the load over a wider area, reduce settlement of soft soil, improve shear resistance and load carrying capacity and reduce distortion.
