Wood carbonization is the process of heating wood at temperatures ranging from 160 to 230 ℃ (commonly 180 to 212 ℃) to improve its quality, reduce its moisture absorption and water absorption, enhance its dimensional stability, biological corrosion resistance, and climate resistance, resulting in a high-performance, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally friendly wood product.

Characteristic

(1) Environmental protection and safety Wood carbonization heat treatment is a pure physical technology without the addition of chemical agents, and carbonized wood is an environmentally friendly material. In addition, carbonization treatment can improve and enhance the quality of fast-growing artificial forest wood, and can replace some natural forest wood. Therefore, carbonized wood has the significance of natural forest protection and environmental protection. (2) Enhanced moisture resistance After carbonization treatment of wood, the highly hygroscopic hemicellulose degrades, resulting in a decrease in the moisture absorption and water absorption of the wood.
