Product Instruction for dry charged car battery
Preparation
1. Please read this manual carefully. The battery storage and use must be away from fire or spark. Make sure the firm connection to avoid spark and explosion when you install the battery into vehicle.
2. Pay attention to the safety, because the electrolyte has corrosion. If the electrolyte get on skin, eyes or clothes, please
flush with clean water completely, and get medical treatment immediately.
3. Before using, make sure the caps is screwed tightly and keep the aluminum foil sealed to avoid humidity.
Filling Acid
1, Unscrew the caps or remove the aluminum foil.
2, Fill the battery with electrolyte, make sure the liquid level reach the place between upper level and lower level which
indicated on case, or keep the liquid level over the plates 10-15mm. The specific density of electrolyte is (1.275~1.285g/cm3(20℃)
3, After filling, wait for 20 minutes. if the liquid level can’t reach the lower level or can’t over the plates 10~15 mm. Please
complement electrolyte
4, The battery can be installed for use when the voltage≥12.6V, please charge it if lower than 12.6V.
Installation
1. Put the battery into vehicle and fix it.
2. First, connect the positive cable to the positive terminal, and then connect the negative cable to the negative terminal.
3. Keep battery body and terminals clean.
Charging
1. After filling electrolyte with density of 1.275~1.285g/cm3(20℃), wait for 20 minutes then battery can be used. However, to make the battery perform better, we recommend complementary charge.
2. Charge the battery with 0.1℃ for 5-6 hours. The Voltage should be ≥12.6V, otherwise it have to be charged one more time.
3. If charge a group of batteries, the batteries should be the same item. Otherwise, use the smallest capacity battery as standard for charging. The higher capacity battery needs more time for charging. Don’t charge batteries by parallel connection.
4. When the electrolyte temperature reach 45℃ or charging is over, but the electrolyte density can’t reach 1.275~1.285g/cm3(20℃), please keep charging the battery with 50% current until it is full charged.
5. If the liquid level low down after charge, please add distilled water to reach the level requested.
6. Screw the caps tightly when the battery is charged, and clean the body by distilled water.
Maintenance
1. Check the liquid level monthly. If it is lower than requested level, fill with distilled water to reach it. Don’t fill with
sulfuric acid or unclean water.
2. If the vehicle don’t start more than one month, the battery should be got out and complement charge every tow months.
3. Don’t over charge the battery. Avoid charging battery by big current for long time.
4, Stop using the battery and charge immediately when the electrolyte density is lower than 1.175g/ cm3
Storage
1. Don’t remove the aluminum foil till using or selling the battery to avoid bad influence on performance.
2. Forbid inversion and collision during battery storage to avoid damage.
3. Don’t put the battery in acidity and alkaline condition to avoid corrosion.
4, Battery which have acid in it or be used, must be charged before long term storage, and must be recharging per month.
2, Keep battery clean and can not put any metal goods on the top of it.
3, We recommend storing the battery in clean, dry, ventilated location. Avoid direct exposure to heat sources, sunlight or space heaters. The best temperatures for battery storage is 5-40℃ ,Temperatures above℃ accelerate the battery's self-discharge characteristics.
4, This battery is dry charged battery, capacity range 28AH from 225AH, be produced strictly according to JIS standard. Be used for vehicle start. Not suitable for DC wiring and lighting.
