Compute Module 3

Raspberry Pi CM3 and CM3 Lite modules are equipped with the same processor BCM2837 (64 bit 1.2GHz quad core ARM Cortex-A53) and 1GB of memory as the Raspberry Pi Model 3, simplifying the design process for engineers to develop terminal product system modules. They do not need to focus on the complex interface design of the BCM2837 processor, as long as they focus on designing interfaces and application software on their lO board, which will greatly shorten development time andbring cost-effectiveness to the enterprise.

Design of CM3 Lite is the same as CM3, except that CM3 Lite does not have eMMC flash memory attached, but only retains the SD/eMMC lead interface for users to add their own SD/eMMC devices. The eMMC of the CM3 module only has 4GB, while the official system Raspberry OS, with a size exceeding 4GB, may interrupt during burning and prompt for insufficient space. Therefore, when burning the CM system, please choose a Raspberry OS Lite that is suitable for images below 4GB.

Both CM3 Lite and CM3 adopt a 200 pin SDIMM design format.
