Functions:
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is the use of air flotation to remove suspended, organic and hazardous substances, etc. from wastewater.
1.Removal of suspended matter.
The primary function of the air flotation tank is to remove suspended matter contained in the sewage. These suspended materials include solid particles, colloids, some oily substances, etc. By passing air or oxygen in the sewage, tiny bubbles are formed. These tiny bubbles attach themselves to the suspended matter. The suspended matter will float to the surface of the water along with the rising bubbles, forming a scum. The scum on the surface of the water will be removed by the scraper.
2. Removal of organic matter.
Tiny bubbles come into full contact with the organic matter in the sewage and form bubbles. These bubbles can be separated and further treated or converted into useful substances.DAF tanks can also remove organic matter through biodegradation.
3. Remove harmful substances.
DAF tank removes heavy metals, toxic organic matter, ammonia and nitrogen and other harmful substances through adsorption, flocculation, chemical reaction and other methods.
