RP-L is a resistive thin-film pressure sensor with a long strip sensing area. The pressure sensor consists of a conductive material with excellent overall mechanical properties, a nano-scale pressure-sensing material, and an adhesive material. The top layer is a flexible polyester film and a conductive layer laminated to it, and the bottom layer is a flexible film and a pressure-sensing material laminated to it. The two are laminated by double-sided adhesive and isolate the sensing area of the top and bottom layers.
Sensor in the natural state in the open-circuit state, infinite resistance; when the external pressure reaches a certain value (such as 20g), the bottom layer of pressure-sensitive materials contact the top layer of the line separated from each other, and make it conductive, the sensor trigger, from the open-circuit state to jump to the pressure-sensitive state, the sensor resistance from infinity to jump to 200K ohms or less. As the external pressure continues to grow, the sensor resistance gradually decreases, the change in resistance with the pressure changes accordingly, the greater the pressure, the smaller the resistance value, such as 10Kg pressure, the resistance drops to less than 2K ohms.
Sensor interface with metal terminals, can be directly tin solder wire. The sensor has a certain flexibility, can be properly bent, and can be attached to the appropriate curvature of the curved surface.
