ASTM A36 steel channel
ASTM A36 steel channel is hot-rolled, low carbon steel section with good properties including welding, machinability and ductility. A36 structural channel have two types of sizes: UPN & UPE - tapered flanges and parallel flanges respectively. ASTM A529-50 carbon steel
ASTM A529-50 carbon steel channel is stronger than common A36 steel channel for A529-50 is carbon-manganese steel. A529-50 has 50 ksi yield strength which reduces weight for the same strength. Hence, it is ideal for application where requires higher strength.

ASTM A572
ASTM A572 is a high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel with alloy content of columbium and vanadium, which strengthens the steel and provides higher yield point strength than ASTM A36. A572 HSLA steel channel is ideal for the applications where needs higher strength for it reduces the thickness and weight.

ASTM A588
ASTM A588 is another HSLA steel which is used to manufacture steel channels - C & U shapes. It has better comprehensive properties than A572 for its small amount of alloy elements - copper, chromium and nickel. The copper content itself resists corrosion effectively. Therefore, A588 steel channel section has wider applications than mild carbon steel channel like A36. It is the premium alternative for ship & car.
