Switch
Mercury switch, also known as tilt switch, is a type of circuit switch that stores a small drop of mercury in a small container connected to an electrode. The container is mostly vacuum or filled with inert gas. Mercury is toxic to both the human body and the environment, so when using a mercury switch, please be careful to avoid breaking it out; When no longer in use, it should also be handled properly.
As long as the glass tube is slightly tilted, the position of mercury immediately changes and comes into contact with the electrode, thus separating and combining large AC and DC currents.

Product Structure Description
The structure of the mercury switch is very simple. On the outside is a sealed cylindrical insulated shell, approximately 20-30 millimeters long and 3-10 millimeters in diameter. It contains about one-fifth of mercury inside. Two wires are fixed at one end of the shell that are led out from inside. This is a mercury switch.
Due to gravity, mercury droplets will flow towards lower areas in the container. If they come into contact with two electrodes at the same time, the switch will close the circuit and open the switch.
