Emergency Relay Valve
The inlet port of the relay valve is connected to the air storage cylinder, and the outlet port is connected to the brake air chamber. When the brake pedal is pressed, the output air pressure of the brake valve as the control pressure input of the relay valve, under the action of the control pressure, the inlet valve will be pushed open, so the compressed air will be directly from the storage cylinder through the inlet into the brake air chamber, without having to flow through the brake valve, which greatly shortens the braking air chamber filling pipeline, accelerating the process of filling the air chamber. Therefore, the relay valve is also called acceleration valve.
