Great product and saved my day!
I am a 28 year plumber, this part saved me a lot of time adapting a wall-mounted telephone faucet to the wall which had male threads. It was the perfect extension for my application.
Nowhere in my city could I get a female pipe to male pipe adapter, and this is very important when trying to extend a "pipe" thread.
For the layman, this has tapered threads on both sides, you need this to make a secure seal. Locally I found non-tapered threaded adapters like these. If using this type you can pile-on all the Teflon you want but it likely won't ever seal at the threads.
