Kojic acid dipalmitate
is modified kojic acid derivative, which not only overcomes the instability to light, heat and metallic ion, but also keeps the inhibitory tyrosinase activity and prevents the forming of melanin.
Kojic dipalmitate owns stable chemical property. It will not turn yellow for oxidation, metallic ion, illumination and heating. As fat soluble skin whitening agent,it is easier to be absorbed by skin.
The recommended amount of kojic acid dipalmitate in cosmetics is 1-5%;
The amount of whitening products is 3-5%.
Difference Comparison of kojic DIP and kojic acid
Kojic acid has light, heat and metal ion instability, and is not easily absorbed by the skin, so kojic acid derivatives came into being.
Many kojic acid derivatives have been developed to improve the performance of kojic acid.
Kojic acid dipalmitate
not only have the same whitening mechanism as kojic acid, but also have better performance than kojic acid.
Advantages and Function
1.Whitening: kojic acid dipalmitate inhibits the activity of tyrosinase in the skin more effectively than kojic acid, thus inhibiting the formation of melanin, which has a good effect on skin whitening and sun protection.
2. Freckle removal: Dipalmitate kojic acid can improve skin pigmentation, can fight age spots, stretch marks, freckles and general pigmentation.
3. It is more stable than kojic acid.Good fat solubility is more conducive to skin absorption and moisture.

Lynsey Recommended blending methods
1.When dipalmitate of kojic acid and glucosamine derivatives are mixed, the whitening effect will be doubled.
2. Dipalmitate kojic acid is difficult to add to the formulation and is prone to crystal precipitation.
To solve this problem, it is recommended to add isopropyl palmitate or isopropyl myristic acid to the oil phase containing kojic acid dipalmitate . The oil phase is heated to 80℃ and held for 5 minutes until the dipalmitate of kojic acid is completely dissolved. Then the oil phase is added to the water phase and emulsified for about 10 minutes. End products are usually obtained with pH values of around 5.0 to 8.0.
1. Whitening: Kojic acid dipalmitate is more effective than kojic acid in inhibiting tyrosinase activity in the skin, thereby inhibiting the formation of melanin, and has a good effect on whitening skin and sun protection.
2. Freckle removal: Kojic acid
dipalmitate can improve skin pigmentation and can fight age spots, stretch marks, freckles and general pigmentation.
3. Kojic acid dipalmitate is a new skin whitening agent,it can prevent the formation of melanin by inhibiting the activity of tyrase, effective ratio can be up to 80%,so it have a evidently whitening effect and the effect is stronger than the kojic acid dipalmitate.
4.. Kojic Acid dipalmitate is widely used in whiten cosmetic applied as a skin lightening agent due to its potential to inhibit the enzyme tyrosinase. Tyrosinase is necessary for the synthesis of melanin, which offers skin its coloring.
5. Kojic Acid dipalmitate also has antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant attributes. It can protect against fruits from turning brown and is also applied to preserve the pink and red shade of seafood.
