AIR SPLICER SKN-2013

1.Product use

SKN-2013 type if air splicer belongs to the new generation of manually operated splicers, specifically designed for the joining of coarse counts of long staple fibre and continuous filament yarns within a range of Nm 0.1 to 20 Nm(Tex10000-50).

Method of application:SKN-2013 type of air splicer can be held in hand or installed on SD-3 aluminum alloy gas supply rail.

2.Technical parameter and adjustment

1, SKN-2013 is applicable to: polyester, glass fibre, wool, carbon fibre
2, Yarn count range: 0. 1Nm-20Nm(Tex10000-Tex50)
3, Air pressure: 0.7-0.8Mpa(depends on type of yarn)
4. Adjustment of splicing length: By adjusting the "L" indicator, the yarn overlapping length can be changed. As long as the strength of joint is satisfied, the shorter the overlapping length, the better for the look of yarn. (the smaller the scale, the shorter the overlapping length, otherwise longer)
5, Adjustment of splicing cycle: The change of splicing duration is made by adjusting the indicator "T" (the smaller the scale, the shorter the time, otherwise longer) .

3.The splicing process

Position the yarn diagonally, making sure that it is located at the bottom of the introduction slots, this enables the yarn to be crossed in the mingling chamber.

The yarn is secured by the yarn clamps, and the scissors cut the surplus yarn. At this stage the chamber cover will close on the mingling chamber.
The ends are retracted towards the mingling chamber. To adjust the length of ends, rotate index "L" .
A  jet of compressed air is directed into the mingling chamber and the final joint is made. To adjust the mingling blast rotate index "T" . The chamber cover will now open and the yarn Is ready to be removed.

4.Cautions

1, Make sure the lever is flexible, and the screws should be tightened.
2, Be careful that the sediment in the mingling chamber may cause block.
3, Make sure the support plate screws, bridge screws and cam plate screws are tightened.
4, Make sure the support screws are not overly tightened, in case the deformation of the support will causes the stiffness of carriage and bridge.
5, Make sure the screws of fastening piece are against the friction disk.

5.Periodical maintenance

1, DAILY
Remove the cover pt.390, clean by means of compressed air, and remove fibres and yarns residues by means of tweezers.
2. WEEKLY
Lubricate moving parts with Lubricens (work Jointair while spraying), check the chamber cover movement (correct tunctioning ot springs pt. 152, 156 and 158).
3, EVERY SIX MONTHS

Check the yarn clamps No.216.
Check the cycle speed: if too slow, the Jointair should be overhauled (sludges near the piston or other mechanical obstacles). Provisionally it could be enough to lubricate Jointair inside by spraying Lubriciens near the base inlet nozzle.

LUBRICATION: for the mechanical parts which require grease and pneumatic parts use Kluber Polylub GA 352P.
