How to Iron on An Embroidered Patch
1. Think of A Patch Idea
Sketch or describe your basic design. Have an idea but no sketch? Our graphic designers can help!
2. Approve the Proof
We will email you a proof to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please review all information, particularly the size, spelling,
and colours.

3. Get Your Custom Patch
Once you approve the design we continue with a stitched sample. Your patches will be delivered 10-15 working days after approval.
The amount of embroidery is also a consideration when creating a custom patch. Whether the crest is covered in only 50% thread, 75% or completely covered in 100% thread changes how much the patch will cost to produce. The amount of threads can be generally calculated on how much of the twill fabric background shows through when you look at the crest or the amount of fabric that is not covered by threads.
Custom Backing
The backing is what's on the other side of the crest when you turn it over. We offer six different types you can choose from to make your custom patch perfect. The standard backing is iron-on as it gives the crest stability, however alternative backings are available at an extra cost.
1. Is there a minimum order quantity?
For Custom Patches or Adapt A Patch, the minimum order is 25. Charms & Lapel Pins have a minimum quantity of 100. The minimum quantity for Custom Swag varies depending on the product.
2. Can I supply my own artwork?
Absolutely! Depending on the product we require submitted files to be in JPEG, PDF, PSD or AI format and at least 200 dpi (HighResolution). We will let you know which format is required for the item you are ordering.

3. Will my custom order look just like what I supplied?
It will depend on what your art looks like. When reproducing an existing embroidered patch, it will look the same. If you have computer-generated art, it will be very close! Our talented designers can work from your camera ready art or logo, a drawing, a rough sketch, or written description. You'll be very pleased, we can promise that!
4. How many thread colours can I have in my patch?
Up to 9 thread colours are included in the cost of the crest. Extra thread colours, or the use of speciality threads like Metallic or Glow-in-the-Dark are available at an additional cost.
5. What size should my lettering be for my custom patch?
On embroidered crests, small lettering can often be illegible. For best results, lettering should be at least 1/4” in height or 18pt. in size. Block or sans serif fonts work best.
If your design has smaller text or fine detail, we recommend either a woven label or heat transfer patch as there are no size
restrictions on these types of patches.

6. What type of patch backings do you offer?
There are 6 different backings you can choose from and each one has its own application. Pick from No Backing, Plastic, Iron On, Adhesive (Peel and Stick), or Hooks and Loops.
11. Do you share my custom item design?
Our policy has always been to never share anyone's information or designs without their permission. Shared designs may be showcased on our website, distributed in our newsletters, and broadcast through other media and marketing channels such as Facebook, Pinterest, and Google but are not recreated or sold without additional permissions.
