Metakaolin
powder
Metakaolin is a highly active artificial pozzolanic material that can react with Ca(OH)2 (CH) and water to produce pozzolanic hydration products similar to cement. Taking advantage of this feature, when used as an admixture for cement, it reacts with CH produced in the process of cement hydration to improve certain properties of cement. When metakaolin is used as a concrete mineral admixture, it is mainly the reaction between AS2, CH and water. Depending on the ratio of AS2/CH and the reaction temperature, different hydration products will be generated, including tobmullite, hydration Calcium aluminum yellow feldspar (C2ASH8), tetracalcium aluminate hydrate (C4AH13) and tricalcium aluminate hydrate (C3AH6).
