Meta aramid shortcut fibers are made of meta aramid filaments as raw materials and cut into uniformly lengthed staple fibers by special equipment. Suitable for aramid paper, plastic reinforcement, friction materials and various composite materials industry.

Meta aramid fibers are regularly arranged serrated macromolecules, which have been

decomposed before melting. The glass transition temperature is 270 ℃, and there will be no obvious decomposition and carbonization below 350 ℃. When the temperature exceeds 400 ℃, the fiber will be brittle, carbonized and decomposed gradually, but no droplet will be produced; It does not delay combustion in the flame, has good flame retardancy, the limit oxygen index LOI is 28, has excellent performance, excellent high temperature resistance, good dimensional stability, excellent spinnability, fire resistance and corrosion resistance.

Heat Resistance

Meta-aramid can work continuously between -196 ℃ and 204 ℃ while maintaining its original size. The shrinkage at 250 ℃ is only 1%. The fiber does not brittle, soften or melt at 300 ℃ for short time, exhibiting very good dimensional stability.

Flame Resistance

With LOI over 28%, Meta-aramid is inherently flame resistant. The fiber does not support combustion, melt or drip in the air.

Electrical Insulation

Meta-aramid maintains good insulating property even at high temperature, Meta-aramid paper made of it can withstand voltage of 20KV/mm.

Chemical Stability

Meta-aramid fiber has a very stable chemical structure. It is resistant to most strong inorganic acid and to alkalis at room temperature.


Radiation Resistance

M eta-aramid fiber shows good resistance to α, β and ultraviolet radiation.

Mechanical Properties

The low-rigidity and high elongation of meta-aramid makes it available for processing by conventional textile machinery.
