Product Description
Tourmaline powder is derived from mechanically pulverizing raw tourmaline ore after removing impurities. The processed and purified tourmaline powder has high far infrared emissivity. The general chemical formula of tourmaline is NaR3Al6Si6O18BO33(OH,F)4, and the crystal tourmaline belongs to the general term of a family of cyclic silicate minerals in the trigonal system. Usually the body of tourmaline crystal is triangular column with different crystal shapes at both ends. The columns have vertical stripes, often in columnar, needle-like, radial and massive aggregates. For referring to physical properties, tourmaline has the following ones: glass luster, fracture rosin luster, translucent to transparent, no cleavage, Mohs hardness 7-7.5, specific gravity 2.98-3.2 with piezoelectricity and pyro-electricity
