Product Description

AIITA / Baguette plete - Natural

It is a plate made by laminating two ingredients.

The rounded edges make it easier to lift with your fingertips. It can be used in various scenes such as French bread and dips, crackers and cheese, sandwiches, and even thick roll vessels. You can also place cakes and other sweets and glasses on the same board and enjoy their use as both vessels and trays.

It is finished with urethane coating and can be washed with a mild dishwashing detergent.

Board-shaped products are usually lined with six pieces of cherry bark to cover all six sides. AIITA however user only two pieces because all the edges are rounded.

This round shape gives a soft atmosphere to the design . It is also easy to lift up with fingers. The simple design of board-shaped products is suitable in various situations from daily use to parties.

Precautions for use	・Please use the product correctly in accordance with its original purpose and intended use. ・Do not use the product in a refrigerator. Extreme dryness may cause peeling of the surface skin and distortion of the entire product. ・Not for use in water or hot water soaking, or in a dishwasher. ・Not for use in microwave or oven. ・Please be careful not to get it wet as it may cause the cherry bark to peel off. Also, do not leave it in a humid place for a long time. ・Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent warping, cracking, and fading. ・Avoid sudden temperature changes due to contact with heated or cooled objects. It may cause discoloration, distortion, or cracking. ・Please note that strong external shocks, such as dropping the product, may cause damage.

Material

Kabazaiku is made of wild cherry tree bark . It is an eco-friendly material that can be regenerated even if the bark is peeled off.

The one that makes use of the expression ofwild cherryblossoms is called “Shimofurikawa”, and the one that has been thinly shaved and polished is called “Mujikawa”.

Things that you touch every day, become more lustrous when you touch them, and the luster that is unique to wild cherry blossoms increases.

HOW TO CARE

Polished Products

・ Polished Kaba-zaiku products are not painted in order for customers to enjoy the original texture of the material. Therefore, please avoid moisture as much as possible. In the unlikely event that moisture does come into contact with the product, please wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth.

・ Avoid washing in water, as it may cause the skin to peel off from the surface and distort the entire product.

Urethane coated products

・ Urethane coated finish products can be wiped with water or lightly rinsed with water.

・ Urethane coated products repel moisture, but cannot be used in a dishwasher or immersed in water or hot water.

Tea caddy

・ Close the lid by aligning the seams of the body and lid. Since both the body and the lid are made using a single wooden mold, they close smoothly when the joints are aligned.

・ Please note that because each piece is handmade, there may be slight variations in the closure of the outer and inner lids.

・ Tea caddies maintain moderate humidity and keep tea leaves in good condition.

To maintain luster

・ Occasional maintenance to maintain the luster can be done by gently wiping along the direction of the knots in the cherry bark with a fine, soft cloth such as a spectacle wipe.

・ The cherry bark, the material used for Kaba-zaiku, gains luster by hand and retains the unique luster of wild cherry bark. You can keep the luster by continuing to use it on a daily basis while performing maintenance yourself.
