Chlorinated Paraffin 70 is white or pale yellow solid powder. It's chemical structure is almost completely saturated and It has the following properties fine fire-retardan, chemical reagent resistance, compatibility,antideteriorant and heat stabilization. So it's an additive fire-retardant of fine general performance.
Chlorinated paraffin is an organic compound, a chlorinated derivative of paraffin hydrocarbons, with advantages such as low volatility, flame retardancy, good electrical insulation, and low cost. It can be used as a flame retardant and PVC auxiliary plasticizer.
As an additive flame retardant, it has good flame retardant durability, moisture-proof, anti-static, anti-softening, anti-compression and low volatility. It can be widely used in polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene and other resins and all kinds of rubber products, also used in the manufacture of blended fireproof paint, fireproof paint, can also be used in wood anticorrosion, anti-moth, and sizing of the paper industry.
Specification
Chlorinated paraffin is a mixture of chlorinated derivatives formed by free radical reactions of straight chain alkanes with different carbon numbers from C10 to C30. Generally, the product has a chlorine content of 40% to 70%, and a light yellow viscous liquid with a chlorine content of 40% to 52% at room temperature; 54% to 60% are viscous yellow semi-solid substances; 70% are brittle resin like solids. The one with high chlorine content is preferred, with low price and acceptable miscibility. Often used in combination with antimony based flame retardants, widely used in soft polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene, etc.
