Mushrooms are the "fruiting bodies" of fungal organisms of the class Basidiomycetes and are rich in nutrients for the human body. It’s free of fillers like rice, oats, etc. and it’s delicious.
Most commercial mycelium producers grow it on grains such as rice, oats, or sorghum. Therefore, all these grains are inseparable from the mycelium and remain in the final product, resulting in large amounts of starch and other impurities. To make matters worse, mycelium is actually unable to completely colonize or digest most grains (some estimates are as low as 30-40%). So 60-70% of the mycelium actually remains as inert pellets, and the mycelium is then dried, ground into powder and sold/marketed as mushrooms.
