HDPE is a highly crystalline non-polar thermoplastic resin produced through the copolymerization of ethylene and a small amount of a-olefin monomer. It is synthesized under low pressure and is therefore also called low-pressure polyethylene. HDPE is mainly a linear molecular structure and has little branching. HDPE is a non-toxic and odorless green environmental protection product that does not pollute the environment.
It has a high degree of crystallization, which can reach at least 80% or around 90% in good condi-tions. It can withstand high temperatures and can be used at a highest temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. In addition, it has high density, good rigidity and mechanical strength. Moreover, HDPE has a low water absorption and will not dissolve in any solvent and has excellent acid and alkali resistance.
