1.8m Eco Solvent Printer with Epson Printheads
Ink type: uv printer uses uv ink, eco-solvent printer uses eco-solvent ink. uv ink is a special kind of ink that can quickly solidify under ultraviolet light, forming images that are wear-resistant, waterproof, and sun-proof. Eco-solvent ink is an environmentally friendly solvent ink that contains less volatile organic compounds, and has less impact on human body and environment.
Curing method: uv printer uses uv lamp for curing, eco-solvent printer uses hot air or natural wind for curing. uv printer has a very fast curing speed, which can achieve instant drying, while eco-solvent printer has a slower curing speed, which requires some time to dry.
Printing material: uv printer can print various flat or curved materials, such as metal, glass, wood, plastic, leather, etc. Eco-solvent printer mainly prints flexible materials, such as paper, cloth, vinyl, etc.
Printing effect: uv printer can print high-definition, high-gloss, and high-stereo images, and can also print white ink, achieving relief effect. Eco-solvent printer can print bright colors, but the clarity, gloss, and stereo are not as good as uv printer, and it cannot print white ink.
Printing speed: uv printer has a faster printing speed than eco-solvent printer because it can dry instantly. uv printer’s printing speed can reach 20~30 square meters per hour, while eco-solvent printer’s printing speed is generally 10~15 square meters per hour.
Printing cost: uv printer has a higher printing cost than eco-solvent printer, mainly because uv ink is more expensive than eco-solvent ink, and uv printer also consumes some electricity to drive the uv lamp. uv printer’s printing cost is about 5~10 yuan per square meter, while eco-solvent printer’s printing cost is about 2~5 yuan per square meter.
