Precautions for Use
1. It is easy to accumulate waste debris and impurities inside the barrel clamp, and the milling cutter will become eccentric after installation. Remove the clamp and replace the waste debris and impurities inside with a new clamp. Please check regularly and also use high-precision clamps.
2. There is an issue with the coaxiality of the machine tool spindle, which leads to eccentricity of the installed milling cutter. The testing method is to use a lever dial indicator pointer to approach the shank of the installed milling cutter, and slowly rotate the spindle to see if the pointer jumps.
3. When cutting aluminum plates, it is necessary to press them tightly. In areas without mechanical pressure, a long wooden stick can be artificially used to press them in areas that are prone to vibration due to lack of pressure. Vibration can make the cutting unstable, prone to wear or breakage of the blade.
4. Is the speed and feed reasonable? The larger the diameter of the milling cutter, the slower the speed and feed should be. If it exceeds too much, it is easy to wear or break the cutter.
When cutting small arcs, the feed needs to be slowed down. When the milling cutter is subjected to unstable forces while walking the arc, a program for walking the arc can be written in the program to slow down the feed parameters.
6. After prolonged use, the cutting edge of the milling cutter will gradually become dull, and continued use will accelerate wear until it breaks and is scrapped when it cannot be cut. It is recommended to stop cutting when the front edge of the milling cutter is passivated, and to grind off the worn part of the front edge on the grinding wheel. The angle should refer to the new milling cutter for the groove, so that it can be used for a period of time.
