Why Bifacial ?

Bifacial solar panels work just like normal solar panels. There is a potion of sunlight that is directly absorbed by the solar
cells and converted into electricity. Along with a portion of sunlight that is trapped inside the glass that bounces around until
it is absorbed by a solar cell. And finally there is a portion of light which passes right through. However this is where bifacial
panels and monofacial panels are different. In a bifacial panel this loss light then has a chance to be reabsorbed by the panel.
In this instance, where the light passes right through and collides with a highly reflective surface, this then bounces back
towards the panels, to be converted into solar energy. As a result of exposing both sides of the solar cells to sunlight, bifacial
solar panels are capable of generating more solar energy.Bifacial solar panels have been available for many years but are only now
becoming popular as the cost to manufacture the high-performance PERC monocrystalline cells continues to decrease. Bifacial cells
absorb light from both sides of the panel and in the right location and conditions can produce up to 30% more energy than
traditional monofacial panels.

Multi-busbar Technology

In comparison with the conventional 5 busbar design, the innovative multi-busbar design on the cell can shorten the current
collection transverse path by 50% and thereby reduce remarkably the cell internal resistance, which contributes a 1% - 1.5%
increase in the power output compared with 5 busbar design.
The MBB design can also mitigate the performance loss caused by blocked electrical pathways in case of cell microcracks and finger
electrode erosion due to external factors.

PERC CELL

The PERC cell has a passivated rear side and a laser grooving process, which significantly improves the cell efficiency.
Bifacial PERC
For a bifacial PERC cell, the Al back surface field is replaced by Al grid, hence render the majority of rear side transparent
which enable the cell to absorb light and generate electricity from both sides.

half-cut

Half-cut cell technology is to cut the cell into two seperate parts by mature infrared laser, hence halve the working current. The
thermal loss on the ribbon will be remarkably reduced and the module’s power increases by 2%. The reliability of module is also
enhanced.
The combination of half-cut cell technology and bifacial module can amplify the gain over the effect of current-reduction.

Trina Technology

Trina were one for the first Chinese manufacturer’s to offer multi-busbar technology or MBB on the full range of new modules.The
reason for the transition to MBB is rather simple, to increase efficiency and reliability. One problem with the traditional flat
ribbon busbars on the front of the cell is that they partially shade the cell, which reduces efficiency and performance. MBB
technology is way to increase performance and efficiency by reducing the effects of shading from traditional ribbon
busbars.Further benefits include, reduced cell temperature and in turn, reduced risk of hot spot formation in the rare event of a cell fracture.

The Vertex S+ is also the first panel from Trina Solar to be backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance
warranty, thanks to the lower degradation rate of the high-purity N-type cell substrate. The first-year degradation is 1%,
followed by a minimal 0.4% degradation every other year until year 30. This guarantees at least 87.4% power output after 30 years
of use.
