Glass wool is basically manufactured by SiO2 (usually cullet), soda ash, borax, dolomite, etc. melting these raw materials and thrown into fine silky threads (wool) by centrifugal force in a rotating fibre spinner. And wool-like stuff usually features of good heat preservation and sound absorption. Moreover, Glass wool is naturally fireproof becasue those raw materials are inorganic. Most important is that they are proven of no healthy risk to mankind.
Uetersen Glass wool can be formulated as per different purpose, such as fire retardant, higher temperature durable, water vapor repellant, etc.
Smoke control system, also called smoke protection system, smoke relief system, is very important for high-rise buildings and complexes. Uetersen high-temp. fiberglass board is designed for smoke vent with options of 60-150 minutes fire durable time.
