APAM with high viscosity
Low molecular weight polyacrylamide polypropylene powder random copolymer
Anionic polyacrylamide is a high molecular polymer co-polymerized with acrylamide and acrylate, with strong ability of absorbing and bridging. molecular weight up to more than 20 million, it can be used in coal washing wastewater. In coal preparation plant, generally using anionic polyacrylamide flocculant can meet the requirements,but for difficult sedimentation slime water with high ash content, fine granularity, cationic polyacrylamide is available.
APAM characteristics:
Flocculation: PAM creates charge neutrality and bridge suspended particles together for a sedimentation.
Can be used in both fresh water and brines but requires high temperature.
Adhesiveness: By physical and chemical reaction to show high adhesiveness.
Friction reducer: PAM can effectively reduce friction in fluid/ muds flowing, small dosage will give a high performance by 50-80%
Thicker: PAM in a high molecular polymer with high viscosity, higher the molecular get higher viscosity.
Usage:
PAM should be dissolved in solution of 0.1%-0.2%, that is 1kg-2kg PAM use 1000kgs water. According to this index and under normal conditions, it can separate the coal and the water successfully in a certain period time. After separation, the water left on surface, then the slime left at the bottom of the pool. After drying and baking, the slime can be used as normal coal.
(1)Settlement/clarification of fine coal slurry in the thickening vessels.
(2)Enhancing solid-liquid separation of the fine coal (from the thickener underflow) normally by filtration/centrifugation.
(3)Settlement/clarification of the waste slurry (tailings) in the thickening vessels.
(4)Enhancing solid-liquid separation of the tailings (from the thickener underflow) normally by filtration/centrifugation.
