with the molecular formula C2H2O4Ca. Calcium formate is the calcium salt of formic acid. It is also known as E238. calcium formate is stable at room temperature, flammable and forms crystals. It is used as a feed additive for all kinds of animals with acidification, anti-mold and anti-bacterial effects.
