DESCRIPTION:

Introducer sheaths are typically used in the medical field to introduce interventional devices, such as balloon angioplasty catheters or stents, and/or fluids into the vasculature of the patient . Sheaths may also be used to aspirate solids, such as a thrombus or an embolus, from the vasculature.
