The full name of white glue is white latex, which is a water-soluble adhesive. It is a thermoplastic adhesive prepared by polymerization of vinyl acetate monomer under the action of initiator. It is usually called white emulsion or PVAC lotion for short, and its chemical name is polyvinyl acetate adhesive. It is a thick, milky white liquid formed by synthesizing vinyl acetate from acetic acid and ethylene, adding titanium dioxide (low-grade powders such as light calcium, talcum powder, etc.), and then polymerizing through lotion.
White latex glue itself is very safe, stable, non-toxic, and used in a wide range of applications, such as handmade glue for school children, glue for carton boxes, glue for wood boards, glue for furniture factories and so on. (3) It can also be used as the modifier of phenolic resin, urea formaldehyde resin and other adhesives, and used in the manufacture of polyvinyl acetate latex paint.
