Products Description
Silway 1401 Fluid is a 13% solution of an ultra-high viscosity dimethiconol fluid in a blend of cyclotetrasiloxane and cyclopentasiloxane. These cyclomethicones have been specially blended to prevent freezing and the dimethiconol level selected to maintain a pourable product.
Typical Applications
1. Substantive character and unique feel make Silway 1401 Fluid well suited for skin creams and lotions, cosmetics, sun screen and tanning products. It can be readily emulsified or combined with volatile silicone, mineral oil and cosmetic esters to provide a delivery vehicle for active ingredients such as sun screens.
2. Provides a soft silky feel and conditioning from hair care products. It is particularly useful against split ends.

Usage
1. Silway 1401 Fluid improves the substantivity of other actives, under both water soaking and soap washing regimes. It is therefore possible to incorporate Silway 1401 Fluid into skin care products to provide a water repellent, durable film. These actives may include sunscreens, emollients and moisturizers.
2. Silway-1401 Fluid can also be used to prepare water resistant or waterproof sunscreen lotions with exceptional spreading characteristics
