Palladium Basic Information
Palladium is a black powder. Soluble in aqua regia, hot nitric acid, sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid, insoluble in cold water and hot water. It is a transition element of group III (nickel group) and light platinum metals in the periodic table. It is a medium-hard, medium-forgeable and ductile silver-white metal. Palladium is characterized by its high hydrogen uptake, which allows it to be used as a catalyst in the reduction process in the form of palladium sponge or palladium black.
Applications of Palladium:
1. Mainly used for thick film paste in electronic industry, inner and outer electrode materials of multilayer ceramic capacitors;
2. It is used to make catalysts, and it is also used to make dental materials, watches and surgical instruments, etc.;
3. Used to make catalysts (palladium asbestos, sponge palladium, etc.), low current contact points, printed circuits, alloys for clocks, etc.;
