Ship Launching Airbags - Low Cost & Reliable Ship launching airbag, a long cylindrical roller bags with hemispherical heads at both ends, is generally considered to be innovative technology with utmost bright prospect in shipbuilding. Comparing with traditional ship-launching methods such as side-way launching, this one requires less permanent infrastructure and lower cost. Ship launching
airbags are ideal for supporting the hull of ships and providing a safer and smoother ship launching motion into water. They are normally used for tankers, tugboats, towboat, barges, cargo ship, ferries, seagoing vessels, passenger ships, AHTS, DSV and other special vessels up to 100,000 DWT. Marine airbags could be used for ship launching/hauling, salvage and heavy lifting.

Material of Ship Launching Airbags
Ship launching airbags for sale is an innovative technology which we have proprietary intellectual property rights. It’s a new technology who have tremendous potential to be used more and more extensive.
Nowadays, Marine airbag are widely used in the world. The Products are less limited by space, no large mechanical equipment, can shorten the working period and save the unnecessary cost. Through years of development practice, marine rubber airbag is become more safety, effective and green environmental protection.
Marine airbag also known as rubber airbag, ship air bags, ship launching airbag, ship salvage airbag, boat salvage airbags,
inflatable airbag, ship lifting bag, air balloon, made by rubber & multi layer of rubber-dipped tyre fabric. Airbags are widely
used in launching and landing ship/ boat vessel, lifting and moving heavy goods, salvaging stranded boats. Marine airbags are very popular with shipyard, ship owner, and marine supplies company now. Production compared with the international standard ISO14409.

Qingdao Florescence Ship Launching Rubber Airbags
Ship launching using airbags is an innovative technique claimed to be invented by the Chinese and has been practised for decades. Airbags are inflated to lift up the vessel or structure and then with the help of gravity, allow it to slide into the water in a controlled environment. This method can easily be used for a lot types and sizes of vessels, and is especially popular for flat bottom barges and small-to-medium sized vessels.
The technology is said to be a very cost effective solution and airbags can even be used up to more than 10 years under good
maintenance and care.

Ship Launching Airbags
Ship launching/landing using rubber airbags, is a very popular vessel launching method, particularly in
shipyards & Navals. Besides, many shipyards are using it for ship repairs and heavy lifting through facilitating the haul-ins of ships by winch. The use of such inflatable rubber airbags are simple and straightforward.

Our high performance inflatable Marine Rubber Airbags could work smoothly under right construction.
Installation Instructions
1) Identifying the type, size & weight of the vessel before you launch.
Main factors like types, sizes, vessel weight, working height (distance between the hull of the ship and ground) affects your choice of airbags. The main structure of vessel is vital in determining the placement of the inflatables too.
2) Type, length and number of airbags have to be chosen carefully.
The dimensions of rubber inflatables in terms of diameter, length and layers determine its lifting/bearing capacity. The inflatables will have a longer lifespan in the long run because they are used well within their lifting capacity.
3) Ground structure/ slipway has to be free of sharp objects and preferably, a small degree slope.
First and foremost, a hard ground is a must to have a safe and successful launching. Additionally, the launchway must be free of hard & sharp objects like sharp metal plates, big stones etc. These may damage the rubber launching bags during launching.
4) Slipway Winch to provide pulling force needed.
A slipway winch is needed to hold the vessel in place (prevent it from slipping into the water) during the placement of airbags. Slope angle, weight and type of ships should be carefully considered to determine the winch capacity. A choice of electric winch or hydraulic winch also depends on the facilities of the shipyard and the aspects of its usage.
5) Determine the accessories needed for ship launching using airbags.
Accessories like pulley blocks, shackles, steel wire rope and shackles may be needed. The types of accessories and volume depends on the situation.
6) Determine whether a slow launch or quick launch.
For trickier situations, a slow launch may also be practised. This is where the winch slowly releases the rope and the vessel is allowed to slide slowly. For slow launches, the balance of the ship is ensured so if at any point of time it falls out of balance, the winch will be immediately stopped and corrections can be made.
