Clodinafop-propargyl is a selective post-emergence phenoxy herbicide for annual grass weed control in cereals including wheat, barley, triticale, rye, oat. It is absorbed by leaves of plants and converts from ester to the active acid, then inhibits the enzyme acetyl co-enzyme A carboxylase (ACCase), which is responsible for synthesising lipids. The product is used with the safener, cloquintocet-mexyl, in wheat, rye and triticale.
