Introduction
Geocell is a new geosynthetics.It is efficacious for reinforcing cohesionless wind-drift sand.It is three-dimensional, permeable, polymeric ( synthetic or natural) honeycomb or similar cellular structure, made of linked strips of geosynthetics. For the ill subgrade in use, concrete rammed cast-in-situ pile and concrete rammed cast-in-situ pile combined with geocell are swift and high-efficient methods, worth popularizing.The application results also show that, the effect of geocell structure is the best one followed by the three-dimensional net and the diamond wire net. The geocell reinforcement can reduce the settlement of the subgrade, but a size effect is existed.The total settlement is not affected by the thickness of geocell layer, but the horizontal displacement is affected distinctly by the thickness.The geocell flexible retaining wall is a new type of retaining structures for the slope protection; and it is widely used in highway engineering.

material, creating a stable layer protecting the slope from erosion. GeoCell is a flexible system that will contour to the
subgrade of a slope, reducing preparation time. When filled with vegetated soil or rock, the system is permeable - reducing water runoff.
