FAQ
1.What is the recommended addition amount of carbomer ?
Normally add 0.5% to 0.7% of the solution at room temperature (about 25 degrees Celsius).
2.How to use carbomer?
(1)Prepare solution (deionized water or solution with other substances added) (2)Add 0.5% to 0.7% carbomer powder wait for moisten and stir well to form a thick opaque solution. (3)Add about 1% triethanolamine or sodium hydroxide solution. Make the PH of the solution between 7.2 and 7.8. The solution will turn into a clear gel. (4)If you want cream or lotion,please add emulsifier, such as peg-7 glyceryle cocoate. (5)If your formula contains a large amount of salt, please choose our anti-ion carbomer products, such as 1342, 2020, U21,U20,etc.
3.What is wrong if the carbomer does not thicken or the gel is opaque?
(1)Please make sure that your solution PH is between 7.2 and 7.8. Only in this range the thickening and transparency effect will be best.
(2)Please check whether there is any salt in your formula which can destroy the thickening ability of carbomer. If yes
please use anti-ion carbomer product.
