Introduce of Groove Pine Plywood
Groove lining can be used in compliance with the Building Code of Australia and the New Zealand Building code and follows:
Structure
Groove lining is structural plywood, which is the only wood based panel material with design values in the timber engineering code in both Australia and New Zealand. Groove lining complies with the requirements of NZS3604 and may be used in accordance with AS1684.
Durability
Groove lining will last in excess of 50 years in dry interior spaces. In wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, groove lining should be protected from water splash by good quality paints or coatings. Attack from common household borers is unlikely or will be at an acceptably low level provided the plywood is kept dry. For termite protection, design and maintain in accordance with AS3660. For exposed situations such as soffit linings groove lining requires H3 treatment.
