1. press hour and min buttons to set minutes and seconds

2. then press start/stop button to start count down. Countdown is in units of minutes and seconds

3. press start/stop button to pause during count down

4. alarm will sound when countdown is completed

5. press start/stop button to stop the alarm

6. press min and sec buton simultaneously to reset the display to 0:00
