PIR PUR description:
Poly isocynerate (PIR), Polyurethane (PUR), and Phenolic panels belong to similar families; all are different in fire rating. All these foams are manufactured from organic polymers; formed by reacting a polyol (an alcohol with more than two reactive hydroxyl groups per molecule) with a diisocyanate or a polymeric isocyanate in the presence of suitable catalysts and additives. PUR, PIR and Phenolic foams can be used as insulation for buildings and technical applications like heat exchangers cooling pipes in the process plants, as duct insulation in HVAC industries, core material for sandwich insulation panels.
PIR characteristic:
1. Excellent thermal insulation performance, the first of all cold insulation materials
2. The fireproof performance complies with GB8624 flame retardant B1 level and American ASTM E 84 standard
3. Used in ultra-low temperature environment with excellent performance such as strong compression resistance, low thermal conductivity, excellent dimensional stability
4. The cutting and forming can meet the design requirements of the compound multi-layer mechanism of various thicknesses to ensure the construction quality
5. The operating temperature range is up to -196°C~+130°C
