Mechanism working of container spreaders:

The spreader used for containers has a locking mechanism at each corner that attaches the four corners of the container. The spreader can be used with a container crane or any other machinery to lift containers. The twist locks are activated by landing and lifting the spreader from the container by the crane operator.

Especially, They are also used under mobile harbor cranes, as well as spare spreaders. No hydraulic or electric systems are needed.
